Three things this role needs

If any of these three is not right for you, this is not the job, and we would much rather you knew that now.

  1. Confident spoken English on live calls

You will be talking to British customers on the phone every day, including people who are unhappy. Written English is not enough on its own. This is why we ask for a short video.

  2. A quiet space and reliable internet

Customers must be able to hear you clearly with no background noise, and calls cannot drop halfway through. We ask for a speed test result so we both know it will work.

  3. UK hours, as a contractor

Roughly 4pm to 1am Philippine time, Monday to Friday. You invoice us fortnightly and are paid in PHP. There is no SSS, PhilHealth, 13th month pay or HMO with this role.

The day to day

What you would actually be doing

Look after customers

Answer calls, emails and messages from UK customers. Book cleans in, move them when the weather turns, and sort out the problems that come with cleaning thousands of homes.

Keep the admin straight

Update customer records, chase the details our cleaners need, and keep the schedule tidy so nobody turns up to the wrong house on the wrong day.

Make outbound calls

Ring warm leads and lapsed customers to win the work back. Not cold, script-reading telesales, but you do need to be comfortable picking up the phone and asking for the business.

What we offer

The terms, stated plainly

₱300 to ₱350 per hour

Depending on your experience. Stated openly here rather than left for a call, so you can decide whether it is worth your time before you apply.

Paid fortnightly in PHP

You invoice us every two weeks and we pay in pesos. No waiting a month to be paid.

Long-term, not a project

We are looking for someone to stay. Our office team is small, so the person who takes this becomes a real part of how the business runs.

Work from home

You need a quiet room and a stable connection. Beyond that, where you are in the Philippines makes no difference to us.

How it works

From apply to starting

1

Apply with a video

The form takes about ten minutes, and asks for a 60-second video. The video is the part that matters most, so do that one properly.

2

We review weekly

We go through applications once a week and watch every video. If it looks like a fit, we will be in touch within 10 working days.

3

A call, then a paid trial

If it looks like a fit, we talk properly on a call, then a short paid trial so we both find out whether it works before anyone commits.

Questions people ask

Contractor. You invoice us fortnightly and are paid in PHP. There is no SSS, PhilHealth, 13th month pay or HMO with this role, and we would rather say so plainly on the advert than surprise you on a call.
UK business hours, which is roughly 4pm to 1am Philippine time, Monday to Friday. It is a night shift where you are, and there is no daytime version of it, so please only apply if that genuinely suits your life.
The job is talking to British customers on the phone, sometimes when they are annoyed. Nothing on a CV tells us how someone sounds doing that. Sixty seconds of you speaking does, and it means we are judging you on the part of the job that actually matters.
Brownouts are a normal fact of life and not a reason for us to say no. What matters is that you have thought about it and have a plan, whether that is mobile data, a UPS or somewhere else you can work. There is a question about this on the form.
No. We will teach you the business. What we cannot teach in a few weeks is confident spoken English and the patience to handle an upset customer well, so that is what we are hiring for.
Six months, then we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. Our recruitment privacy notice explains exactly what we keep and how to ask.

About ten minutes. The 60-second video is the part we look at hardest, so give that one a proper go.

About you
Your experience
Your setup
Your 60-second video

Record a 60-second video answering this:

A customer is angry because we missed their scheduled clean. Talk to me as if I am that customer.

Speak to camera. Your phone camera is fine. No script. We are listening to how you talk to an upset customer, not to your video quality.
